The HandMe Downs hail from Detroit. The band started in the summer of 2005, when long time friends Roberto Villarreal (drummer) and Chris Cuddy (Vocalist) wanted to start a punk band and play shows. They found Oliver Wlodyka to play bass and Ricky Wingle to play guitar. After about 8 months of shows an e.p. and a drunken night, Oliver and Ricky decided they didnt want to continue. That threw a huge wrench in the band, because not only were they dear friends they were also great musicians. Throughout the summer of 2006 the search for a bass and guitar player was dim until Bob Gibson (guitar) and Eric "Ferbus" Scicluna (bass) joined in Nov 2006.
We are here for one goal, to bring some straight up punk back into the Detroit scene!.......So we are currently working on our first cd. should be out at the end of the Winter. music and our website will be up shortly. Till then keep rocking -Cuddy-
