Johnny is a left-handed guitarist who was born and raised in New Haven, CT. His mother bought him his first guitar when he was 10 years old. He currently resides outside Detroit, MI. Johnny's new CD is scheduled to be released in 2008. Thereafter, he plans to embark on a major world tour. Johnny likes to play at coffeehouses, bars and bon fires. Crackpot Records & Tapes Set to Re-Issue Old Johnny Ozer Albums!

Just announced this week -Crackpot Records & Tapes, Inc., which recently purchased the rights to Johnny Ozer's extensive catalogue of heavy metal and children's albums from the 1980's, plans to re-issue and re-release all of Johnny's Albums from the mid-to-late 1980's, including his now classic Albums "More Fun Than An Open Casket Funeral," "Magnum Opus" and "Let Me Out of the Oven -I'm Baked." A Representative from Crackpot said that they [Crackpot] were shooting for a May 2012 re-release date. All Albums will be remastered and include new liner notes written by Johnny and his legendary producer Joe "Mayan Infant" Crapolla.

One of my favorite coffeeshops recently closed. Xhedos, which had been in downtown Ferndale for 10 years, recently went out of business. However, some new guy bought the place and renamed it "A.J.'s Cafe." I hope he keeps the open mic nights going. I loved playing at Xhedos open mic nights.
