Eddie started playing music at an early age and by high school he had already performed on several different levels including TV. He studied under Ron English (Jon Luc Ponte) at Oakland University where he met Larry Crumbaugh and started SCOUNDREL. This band hit the local scene in 1980 and eventually evolved into TRANTOR which was responsible for the legendary Pythian venue in uptown Pontiac. It was at this time that he met and joined HELICON. A gruelling 1983 tour took its toll on the band and a breakup resulted in early 1984. Eddie, Marc and Kevin went on with former HELICON members Dave Figlioli and Mary Mathis adding drummer Pete Merlo to the line up of THE METRO. But this was short lived and six months later he founded THE ONLY with Mary Mathis and Dave Figlioli. Bassist Ray Forgione and drummer Dave Sliwka rounded out this New Wave/Rock act that endured for 3 years and 26 recordings some of which can be heard by following the links on this site. After the band broke in 1987 Eddie layed back and recorded various acts including Moxxy and eventually made it back to the scene in 1991 with WHISKEY FIXX. Again the music flourished but in only a cover sense and in 1994 the band broke and FORBIDDEN NECTAR made its debut at the now legendary Mosquito Club (Today known by its original name The Token). This band enjoyed a great amount of success from 94 to 2002 when lead singer Mike Schaeffer left the band. It was during FORBIDDEN NECTARS tenure that Eddie played in the side project HONOR AMONG THIEVES. This convinced Eddie that multiple projects made him more productive in all projects. Just before the split of FORBIDDEN NECTAR Eddie established 5 O'Clock Records which eventually became Black Wolfe Records. It has been a period of multiple projects that included playing and writing in PERSONAL VANDALIZM, TIFFANY LYNN, HOT WICKED SAUCE, and of course his current projects HELICON and JILL JILL JILLIAN. Over the years he has written and recorded hundreds of songs and appears on many CDs too numerous to name here. By visiting www.myspace.com/nectarinestudio and reading the blogs and following the links much of his work and history, as well as people he played with over the past 23 years, is available. He brings musicianship, writing and engineering to HELICON and along with Marc Aloia will be key to the production of their present and future work. Eddie has also had a successful career in teaching and coaching as well as working in investments. He hopes you enjoy all of the links and history of the music and people he most dearly loves. He is married with two children and two step children and has now entered the music business full time. He plays Gibson guitars, G & H strings, Marshall and Tube Works amps and Digitech and Line 6 products. Feel free to contact his studio through the links for rates and times. Rock On and long live Rock and Roll!!!!!!
