Devin Scillian wears several hats. One of them is clearly a 10-gallon cowboy number. He's received the Detroit Music Award as the Country Performer of the Year. He's opened for the likes of Toby Keith, Reba McEntire and LeAnn Rimes. His album "Tulsa" has enjoyed great success in Europe where the single "Half Past You" shot to number one in Denmark. And yet most Detroiters know him by his "press" hat. He anchors the 6 and 11 PM newscasts for WDIV-TV, NBC in Detroit. He's also the author of nine children's books including "Fibblestax," "Cosmo's Moon" and the national bestseller "A Is For America."

| An Army brat, Devin grew up all over the country and all over the world. But with family roots that reach deep into western Kentucky and formative years spent in places like Texas and Oklahoma, Devin came out country. An Emmy-winning television journalist, Devin's abiding love has been music. With three albums to his credit, he juggles the life of a songwriter with his duties as journalist and author. |
