On Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 7:12 A.M. Dawn lost her battle with cancer. Dawn has left us for a better place. For those who knew Dawn time will now move so much slower in anticipation of seeing her again. Dawn's dream was to record a CD of her own to leave behind for her family and friends. In January Dawn achieved her dream. When you met Dawn the only word to describe her as was infectious. You could not help but fall in love with Dawn, and need to do anything possible to make her happy. In return Dawn gave everyone she touched the same love and respect that she received. We will never be able to replace Dawn's voice, talent, ability, strength, determination or the person she was in life. This world has lost one of its brightest stars.

To everyone who has been so supportive of Dawn over these past few months - her family and friends thank you. On Friday Dawn returned to the hospital. On Monday Dawn learned that she has very little time left. Due to her condition she will remain hospitalized. For those of you who know Dawn you understand what a tough time this is for everyone. To those of you who do not know Dawn but still took the time to offer your support and words. You are the kind of person Dawn is, as well as the type of person she could have called friend. Saying "thank you" for your support and words does not seem to be enough. But "Thank You." It would mean so much to Dawn's family if you were to say a prayer for her sometime over these few remaining days. Dawn already has her wings. She now waits for God to let her know when it is time to continue her journey. And when Dawn arrives she will look around and tell the first person she sees: "This is awesome!!!"

Dawn

Since I can remember I have always been singing. Throughout the years I missed many opportunities because I did not know, or understand, what commitment and dedication was. I asked for help to record one song so my family would have something besides cover material to remember me by. I wanted what I left behind to be my song. Before I knew what happened it was 9 months and 30 songs later. Now here I am releasing an entire CD of my own songs. The song How We Die allowed to me to express many of the emotions and feelings I have had to deal with throughout this experience. It allowed me to say in song what I was not able to express in words. I only understood what it really meant to me when I heard the finished version for the first time and began to cry. As much as those who have listened to How We Die thought it was a sad song. It is actually a song of hope for me. Hope is all that is left when you are facing a fate you cannot control. How We Die came from my heart, and this is why it means so much to me. With the completion of this CD I will live the rest of my life knowing that I did something I will always be proud of. Now I am at a point where I need the help of others in order to be heard. The CD is titled "It's 'R' Time" and I hope you will enjoy it. Thanks, ~ Dawn

Dawn's Passing

It is with regret that we make this announcement. Early this morning we lost Dawn at 7:12 A.M. Dawn, her family, and friends really appreciated everyone's support over the past few weeks. There are no words to covey just how much your support meant to Dawn. Either later today or tomorrow we will provide details for Dawn's funeral services. We hope as many of you as possible will attend. Dawn wanted us to throw her a party and make her passing a happy occassion. We want to respect her wishes and do just that. We hope you'll join us and make that happen for Dawn. Thank you all!!!
