Crash The Kid's energetic fusion of pop, punk rock and alternative took root in late 2007 when members Jose Garcia (vocals, guitar), David Brown (guitar), Carlos Garcia (vocals, bass), Gabriel Lopez (keys) and Will Hearn (drums) first came together, as classmates at Detroit's Cass Technical High School. They would go on to create a huge buzz performing countless shows throughout 2008 without having even release a record, all the while adding to their very potent catalogue of hits. Devout CTK fans weren't having it for too long. The huge demand for a record forced the boys of Crash The Kid to hit the studio, where they partnered with Michael Govaere (Every Avenue - Fearless Records) on production. Their first EP, "Because You Can" (recorded in Chicago at Govaere's Downbeat Studios), is due out fall of 2009 on the band's own tab. The record's unforgettable melodies and catchy hooks promise to capture the listener's ear drawing fans from everywhere and are guaranteed to draw the attention of label and A&R execs alike.
