Bath City Bistro By: Dave Vanz Posted: Jul 9, 2007
On Saturday night, my friend Kenan from high school (Chippewa Valley, class of ‘94 baby!) had his 30th birthday party at Bath City Bistro in Mt. Clemens. Amy and I headed down to the Clem and were pretty excited about Feather Bowling. (The biggest attraction to why many people head to Bath City Bistro)
We did pretty good in the beginning, and Amy saved my butt plenty of times with her game winning tosses. I think our team won like the first 3 games and were finally booted after one of the guys in the party, Nick, heated up and pretty much dominated the rest of the night.
The night was pretty fun, and it was my second time there in that building since it was Deacon Brodies back in the day. Not to many people on my side of town have heard about Bath City Bistro, and when they asked where I was going on Friday night, they kind of looked at me weird when I said the name. (I think someone sarcastically said they were headed to Shower Town Pub down the road and that we should meet up later) I’d go into a long story on how the name has come about, but if you don’t know about Mt. Clemens and how it was a destination point for so many people and how the water there is different there then anywhere else, you can check out the history by clicking Mineral Bath History
I had the chance to meet some great people, including our waitress, Heidi, who I actually met at the Detroit Music Awards with my friend Charlie, as well as Joanne, the manager of Bath City Bistro. To everyone in the party: Nick, Vicky, Adam, Jay, Felicia, Bob, Patty, Vera, Steve, Hanna, Rosanne, Cindy, April, DiDi, Lisa, Daniel, you guys are one of the “funnest” groups of people to hang out with!
If you're ever in the Clem, make sure you stop by, have a cocktail, maybe something to eat (their pizza's great!), and throw in a game of Feather Bowling. Joanne and her staff are great and you won't be disappointed. If you find yourself getting good at the Feather Bowling, hit me up.....and I'll bring Amy!
Till the next time we all hang out in the Bath! LOL
It was a fun night, and YEP Nick did dominate half the night, which he is still oh so proud of. He is still talking about it. He said anytime you want a rematch we're ready, just name the date and time haha. I like the pic of nick too!
Before we went, I'll admit I was like, "What? Feather bowling? What the heck is that?!" I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had. And we did meet lots of cool people.
It was great meeting you and Amy. I read the history of Mt. Clemens. Who knew?! It was very intresting. It is hard to believe the great history that we have here in our hometown. I think it would be fun to have a road rally in Mt Clemens. I participated in one a couple of years ago in Romeo and it was fun because i ended up seeing and going to areas in Romeo that i normally would never of seen or go too.
Three years ago we had our office Christmas Party there. It was a blast and the beef tenderloin was awesome. The Clem has a lot to offer in walking distance and it is a for sure place to go for a good time. Plus there is a ton of history surrounding Bath City.
