| Violent Pastries |
| Violent Pastries was formed in late 2006 when drummer Angelo Mazzola, lead guitarist Denny Arney, and Bass guitarist/vocalist Jovan Tica decided to start a garage band. Playing a fusion of progressive and punk rock, the trio quickly gained notoriety with the local bar scene, some of it having to do with donuts being flung onstage during their debut performance at Smalls. Among the things said about the band by peers and fellow musicians, the words "tight," "rockin'," and " infectious, are frequently used. They bring diverse and extensive musical backgrounds to the fold. Angelo started playing drums back in 1967. A fan of Hendrix, heavy metal & Fussion, Angelo juggles his musical career with being a full-time family man and art connoisseur . Denny has been playing guitar for more than 30 years, influenced by Green Day and Korn, He still manages to find the time to perfect his mad skills while pursuing his other goals in life: dirt bike riding and dumpster diving. Jovan, having started in music by playing bass at 12, has since discovered the joys of being a lead singer. Citing Robert Plant and Bruce Dickinson as his primary influences, Jovan adds a touch of metal influence (not to mention youth) to Violent Pastries. When he's not rocking out Jovan enjoys billiards, reading, and girls . |
