Maria Barton is 23 years old and from Detroit, Michigan... She has been singing since the 8th grade and has been performing on the Piano since she was 7 years old, yet has never had to rely on sheet music to play music. She has what many call a "gifted ear" for music and feels very blessed in that aspect. In 2004, Maria auditioned for American Idol in Chicago. They loved her performances, but due to other musical obligations, Maria was unable to contiue with the competition. Many recognize Maria Barton for her many musical talents and strong, mesmorizing vocals. Back In June of 2006, She auditioned for a Rock band named Helicon, They were looking for another back-up singer for the band... She auditioned and thought that she had the part for the band, but unfortunaly The lead singer of Helicon, noticed that her voice doesnt fit the band, and they could not use her. "Maria is not a backup singer" the lead singer of Helicon said. But maria is looking forward to doing new things and writing more songs and hoping that oneday she will get that once in a life time chance to be famous. Thank you for stopping by.
